Kelowna is a beautiful city on the shores of the mighty Okanagan Lake and surrounded by vineyards! It could get pretty hot here in the summers but definitely worth a visit. The info and pictures here are a mix from my visit in 2017 and 2023 (Month of august)
Here are some recommendations for sightseeing in Canmore
Kangaroo Creek Farm
Its a really fun place for all ages. They have Kangaroos (sometimes even Albino one), wallaby, goats, peacock, turkey, roosters, emu, sugar gliders and a lot more. You can pet some of them and feed them. With kids you would normally spend 1 to 2 hours here.
Okanagan Lavender and Herb farm
This was a very quick stop for me. I was hoping to get into the lavender fields and take some snaps. But the lavender area was pretty small, and we were not allowed to enter the grounds. This picture was taken way back in 2017
Kempf Orchards
There is a lot of orchards for cherry picking in Kelowna. I picked this one as they had active u picking for cherries.
Summerhill Pyramid Winery
There is a lot of wineries as well in Kelowna. I picked this one with their attractive setup. We got a very informative cellar tour and wine tasting experience. We couldn’t go into the vineyard as our timing was off.
Davison orchard, Venon
They had apples, pear, all kinds of vegetables and we got a nice tour around the orchard
